Biography

Heng-Bo Lin was born in Changhua, Taiwan. He studied Medicinal and Applied Chemistry at Kaohsiung Medical University (BSc, 2018), where he worked on the development of EDANS–DABCYL paired BCN-based FRET probes. He subsequently gained research experience at Kaohsiung Medical University and National Sun Yat-sen University, focusing on synthetic organic chemistry, including azetidine functionalisation. He then completed his MSc in Chemistry at the University of Münster (2020) under the supervision of Dr Dmitrii Kalinin, working on the synthesis and biological evaluation of compounds targeting CLEC-2. In 2022, he joined the University of Münster as a PhD student in Synthetic Medicinal Chemistry. His current research focuses on the development of novel plasma kallikrein inhibitors for the treatment of hereditary angioedema.
